Soul started with one mother’s dream to introduce parents around her to the joy of babywearing. Chinmayie always wanted to support and empower other women, especially the working class, and so she employed a couple of female tailors to start out. As the company grew, who could understand our customers (mostly mamas) better than other mothers? With this thought, Soul began working with mothers from the local community. Today, one of the things we are proudest about is our almost all-female team.

Small businesses are an important part of the community in which they operate and work. They create work opportunities at a local level and their decisions affect the people and the development of the community. We are proud of our 96% women workforce, many of whom are mothers and often single wage earners for their families. Soul offers flexible work hours and pays higher than industry standards. We grant interest-free loans to all our women who need financial support to put their children through school. We encourage our women to take up professional training which ultimately leads to confident leaders within the organisation.

Our team of babywearing educators (also only mamas!) is consistently meeting, fitting, and learning from real parents, with real needs. We design our products with these experiences behind us, inspiring us to create more #happytogether moments for you and your littles.
